Ha ha - Pontefract is famous for its 'pontefract cakes', which are in fact small hard discs of black liquorice. Pontefract was named by the Romans and means 'broken bridge' too!

I was going to say that I can’t do it either, but I found some I took at a concert that weren’t horrible.

the scopes were just too heavy and the phone too small to hold in place without a support.

yep - A nice little slide viewer, witj about 20 scenic views of soviet Russia. Plus a whopping Rank Xerox projector lens, which weighs a ton.

August 17 2021 - a routine shopping trip allowed for an interesting drive by snap. A 196X Centurion Main Battle Tank on a traffic island, not far from where it would have been built in Leyland, Lancashire.

August 18 2021 Picked up some wonderful photographic items at York car boot, including a small album of japanese photographs from the early sixties. Some gorgeous little prints about 1.5" high and a folder of prints of historical buildings. Besides being a great window into the past, I think theres room for some creativity here. Just not sure what yet.

Looking forward to that. I've been thinking the same about some old photos I have, but so far I haven't had any inspiration.

Addendum - I#m not sure the image works as well on closer inspection. Draining the green from the image has killed it somewhat. Although I like the reflected detail in the marble in the top version, the lack of colour bothers me.

Don’t mind the desaturated look with the bottom one. The Hipsta Markus combo is one of my favourite

19 August 2021 - Bit of analogue to start the day. Finding the focal length of an old Rank Xerox projector I bought at York. Eventually it might become a camera obscura or a large format camera, but for now it nice to see the ghostly, but sharp inverted image of my window.

19 August 2021 - Inspired by Jillyg's beautiful botanicals. Fimo, Mextures and Hipsta edit: a bit ham-fisted, but considering I was behind the shed, cutting the hedge, not bad.
