Has anybody else tried Focus Camera?
Focus - RAW Manual Camera with Smart Focus Peaking by Klinger

I find it has a number of very useful features. The focus peaking really is good for situations when it's hard to tell what is in focus.
I can't tell if it was free or not since now I have the app the price no longer appears.

$1.99 at this time

Yeah, I don't remember either. Haven't worked that much with it, but it seems to work pretty well. Have you tried it with an add-on macro lens?

Has anyone seen the seven apps on sale in the App Store? They are between 45% and 95% off. Under the "Unleash Your Creativity" heading:

Pixelmator
Waterlogue
Tayasui Color
Brushstroke
Sketch Club
Animation Desk Ultimate
Formulas
BeCasso
And on iPhone
ProCreate Pocket

I noticed these and wondered if any were absolutely too good to miss? I have Formulas and BeCasso, sometimes we collect these apps and never use them, I dunno.

I am a fan of Brushstroke. You can see my tutorial here.

Pixelmator is a full-featured editor that is a favorite of many. I happen to prefer Leonardo, so I don't use Pixelmator that often.

The only one of those that I might recommend against is Formulas. I was pretty disappointed with it.

I've done that A LOT. Have reined it in though over the past couple years.
Seems like a lot of these apps do much the same thing but just as Jerry says, some people have their faves over others.
If an app is pretty unique, lets say like Hipstamatic, then its worth having because no other app is quite like it (some say thank goodness). But I see a lot of these filter apps and a lot of, lets call them painter apps and really they aren't that unique. Or am I being old and cynical (again) !!

Not so far. They haven't yet got the Moment case for the iPhone 7plus in production so I can't use my Moment macro. I find the focus peaking makes it so much easier to see the area of best focus when it is otherwise hard to see the screen details. It also has support for manually selecting 1x & 2x lenses on the 7 Plus.

I have most of these (gulp!). Like juryjone, I eventually chose Leonardo over Pixelmator and was a bit disappointed with Formulas (so I use its big brother Stackables instead). I like Brushstroke and use it occasionally. I prefer the watercolor effects in BeCasso and iColorama to Waterlogue.

A lot of the time, it comes down to which app seems to fit comfortably with my habits rather than to a simple feature shootout.

I don't mind having a go at all sorts of apps. Lots of rejects but occasional prizes. You only know what suits you by trying. I already know that just because someone else likes it doesn't mean it will fit into my workflow.

I've been trying it out, too. The focus peaking does seem to work well. I haven't decided if I like it better than PureShot, which has been my choice for focus peaking until now.

I find I usually prefer PureShot but in some situations Focus seems to suit the process better. I like the long sliding scales in Focus. Camera apps don't take much space so I don't mind having lots. I'm occasionally surprised when a seldom used app turns out to be exactly right for a certain situation and my favourites let me down.

Better don't go with this one. They changed it to subscription inApps. I'm sure there is something better with pay once. I rather use scanner apps and snap the old snaps one by one. With those multiple at once you have low res pictures left. Just to say. If you are happy with it, use it. [emoji106][emoji4]

You just need a subscription if you want to store photos with them.
