7th December - Frosty Day
started this morning with a lovely frost on the plants, but by lunchtime the heavens opened and it hasn’t stopped raining since. Glad I did this shot this morning

8th December - Re-edit of Frosty Image

Today has been a wet and windy day so couldn’t get out and take a decent image. Decided to play around with another of the frosty pics from yesterday converting to black and white and cropping slightly differently.

9th December - Herdwick Sheep
Went for a trip to Rutland Water today and there are a small herd of these lovely sheep being used for grazing. Looked very warm in the cold.

Converted to black and white.

11th December - Autumn Leaves
One of the last trees in the garden, the Liquid Amber, is still keeping hold of some of the leaves. Converted to sepia mode in Lightroom.

Spotted this plant in a village garden. Loved the colour it had become as it had dried.

17th December - Playing with Apps
Bad weather today so unable to get out. decided to look at one of my older shots from this year’s harvest and worked in Mextures and Deep Art effects to give the image an oil painting look.

16th December - Oak Leaves
Collected these a while back and let them dry out. Edited in Lightroom.

17th December - Watching Swans
Just as I was about to take the image of the 2 swans they both looked up. 2 other swans were flying overhead.

18th December - Christmas on the Canal
A lovely morning today, so walked along the canal at Woolsthorpe. The Lock Keeper's cottage has put this deer display on the verge opposite the bridge. Looked very festive.

19th December - Swans a Plenty
Couldn't believe how many swans were on the canal today in one area. I counted 26 in this area then a bit further down there another 20. Looks like they have all joined up for the winter time.

20th December - Rose in the Winter?
This poor little rose appeared but has got a bit battered by the wind and rain but still blooming. Even in December !

21st December - Rainbow Cloud
I was reading about these on the news app, that people had been seeing these weather phenomena and I looked out this afternoon and there was one! Fabulous colours - caused by ice particles in the atmosphere.

Beautiful. We’ve only seen such clouds once. I think it was last year. But yesterday I saw postings with this type of cloud shot by people in Northern Sweden
