We found this on the road. Rog brought it out into the sun and it sat for a bit and then flew away. I’ll have to find out what sort of dragonfly it is.

Fabulous photos :inlove:  The dragonfly looks surreal/fake :D but very beautiful. The eyes are amazing.

Wonderful images of insects, Jilly. Tom would have been well jealous of the dragonfly. He loves taking pictures of them but so difficult. This one is rather splendid. We have had a couple of large ones flitting around the garden but they don’t hang around for long.

The Weir

We went out for a 7K bike ride today to our nearest post office to post some letters. To avoid a main road, we took a detour past this weir. It was lovely there - very peaceful.

We went bike riding too on Monday for the first time in ages but just a short one. I feel like I go too quickly. Can’t see everything!

A bee on a buddleia (it‘s sharper in my camera roll than it is here).
Snapseed

butterfly bush? In the co-op we had a massive purple one with great big spikes of flowers. Our permie leader had planted it in the middle of the kids’ play area so it ended up being removed because of the swarms of bees who moved in every spring :lmao:
