What a fabulous image Robert, but unfortunately, it’s not black and white. Would you make it b&w and repost - I don’t want to lose it from the challenge.Close up detail of paint marks and scratches on a rail station wall. Part of my ‘Fragile Urban Landscape’ series. Taken with an iPhone X, slight edits with Snapseed.

Yes. The judge has all my sympathy. Who is that poor person? *runs off to have a look*Going to be a hard one to judge this week

There’s always the new challenge Ann. Looking forward to seeing it there.I was just about to post an image but got pipped at the post. Just as well though - great images this week. Difficult to beat one of these!
This is wonderful!
Nicely curated, Ted... I just love RHKing Robert's image as well.... congrats Robert!!There were lots of excellent images this week, even more than usual, and with so many good ones, I'm sure you all are going to have your own favorites, probably not the same as mine. Nevertheless, here are the images that stood out for me in this round.
First is RHKing's "Fragile Urban Landscape," a found abstract that is striking in b/w, full of contrasts. Good eye, Robert.
Second is sdimbour's "Apéritif," with its beautiful clarity and sharpness (as usual for Sandra), the people all going about their lives (including one young mother eyeing the camera), and the composition that emphasizes the unusual shape of the building and falls away to each side.
Third is a tie between RoseCat's "The Barn" and Starzee's "Erie Canal Trail," both muted and serene, asymmetric yet balanced.
Honorable Mentions to Coronation80's portrait of a thoughtful "Ben,"" jsi's "Deep Time #1" with its misty light at the horizon contrasting with the sharp grasses in the foreground, and TomHH's sharp and stormy coastal view.
Lovely judging Ted. RHKing Robert’s image is wonderful and a great black and white abstract - congratulations Robert. Well done sdimbour Sandra - that image is just so French and showcases your marvellous skill with composition. Hugs to RoseCat Catherine and Starzee Star for joint third - as Ted says, two serene images. And to the HMs - Coronation80 Stephen and TomHH Tom - hearty slaps on the back. It was an exceptional week Black and White Challenge-wise and I’d like it to continue please. While I add Robert’s Fragile Urban Landscape to the Gallery, dig out your black and whites and start posting to the new challenge here: https://mobitog.com/threads/new-136-black-white-challenge.23866/There were lots of excellent images this week, even more than usual, and with so many good ones, I'm sure you all are going to have your own favorites, probably not the same as mine. Yes indeed. And, by the way, I’m loving the new avatar. Thanks Ted, much appreciated. Well done to Catherine, Sandra and Starzee, it would have been difficult to choose this week, so many great images. Looking forward to seeing what this week has in store!
Thank you for third. Personally, I love @RoseCat’s image. I am jealous of her gift for finding cool shed and barns to photograph. There were lots of excellent images this week, even more than usual, and with so many good ones, I'm sure you all are going to have your own favorites, probably not the same as mine.
