B&W RESULT:#41 Black & White Challenge

This is the place to celebrate and showcase all of your beautiful black and white images. This is a theme-free zone so, as long as it's black and white, just about anything and everything goes!

The Rules are simple:

1) All images must be taken and edited on a mobile device: a mobile phone, tablet, iPod or iPad.

2) All images must be simply black and white and all of those lovely shades of grey. Beware grunge edits which may add colour. If I notice an image that has a hint of colour I'll let you know so that you can change it and repost. Or I can delete it and you can repost; not a problem.

3) Any app(s) can be used in the making of your image, editing is permitted, but this must be done on a mobile device (see 1) above).

4) Please remember to add a title and a description of your image and what apps were used. We love to know how you did it.

Last entries before midnight UK time on Saturday 16th September. Judging will take place on Sunday 17th September.

This week JillyG will be our guest judge for the coming week.

A bit of b&w inspiration.

My 14 year old step-grandson came to stay last weekend and introduced me to Imagine Dragons. No, not a computer game, but a band. Whilst I was looking through their songs I found this You Tube video of their song Thunder. The video is done in black and white and, as well as having some inspirational photography, it has models of sheep!!!! Dolly and Molly would be thrilled. Anyway, here's the link to the video. Enjoy.

I like this, its starts off top left in one direction then seems to warp into something else entirely, interesting.
Is aremaC the flavour of the month?

Thank you. Well, Brian had some great results with it, but some of the effects are very low res apparently. I don't think it will be a go-to app for me, but it's a bit of fun.

Ok here we go. Not quite got my workflow sorted and still in a bit of a mess regarding where to store images etc but a warm up for getting back into editing using infinity photo, which is fast becoming a great app.
This is one of the sentry towers at the Aushwitz 1 camp. I took my daughter to Cracow for 3 days and we visited camps 1 and 2 of this place. We got photos but stopped snapping halfway through.
This was taken on a moto G4 plus and I had to do quite a lot of editing to pull some detail from the tower. Not sure about leaving the sky as is but I resisted running textures through it, it just didn't seem that important considering the subject. Still a bit lost in making sense of albums etc so I'm just sticking this one in b&w.

Edit- not sure why the photo is in a thumbnail either sorry

Ric, I've put the full image into your post. I don't know why it went in as a thumbnail either. This is very striking even without the explanation. I like the edit.
