nice as Beach Hill is I kind of prefer the hustle of Beach Street and THAT train !

Yeah that train is pretty cool.
Lush garden. I love seeing nasturtiums overrun a place - a brief but fiery takeover
And then you can eat them!
They run a steam train too, at times, but I've never been in the right place at the right moment to capture it. During tourist season, the train starts in the mountains at Roaring Camp, about 1.5 miles from our house, and runs through the redwoods, down through town to the Boardwalk at the beach.

Thanks Ann! It made me a wee bit sad though..... And just a short way from this some animal had dug up a turtle's nest and eaten all the eggs.... just a hole in the dirt and scattered eggshells remained. I knew there were turtles in the ponds and lake along the path, but didn't know they would lay eggs so close to the path. It would have been amazing to be there when they hatched.... who knows, maybe there are other nests and I will be granted such a sight.
Likewise RoseCat - I found it a sad image, which almost made it difficult to enjoy that glorious duck-egg blue
I bet people are forever stopping in front of this house and taking photos. It’s soooooo photogenic. Wonderful colours on this one Ted.
