Ted what a fantastic range of colourful, funky, upmarket, functional etc ... is this your 'hood ? I.e. Just downtown Santa Cruz? You seem to live in such a colourful funky etc place -- and you're on the coast . I can't imagine living anywhere I couldn't see the ocean relatively easily. We're so blessed here to have such a massive coastline

Anyway what I really wanted to say was 'it's important for me to know that you've spent the last few days trawling the streets of Santa Cruz for suitable images'. You didn't just happen to have these on hand, asitwere... Did you? :appsir:

Love this slightly surreal suburban emptiness.

Thank you - that's several repetitions of CS' Chrome and Airy Filters. I decided to match the rather desaturated rainbow by exploiting the stark/sterile feel of the suburban street. I think a couple more layers might have the image looking quite posterised.

If I didn't know this was broken glass I'd think I was a spiderweb.

The black-ness really conveys to me a heaviness of mood.... helped along, no doubt, by the fact that I know some of the story behind the image.

(And me blabbing means, of course, that you're going to have to share a bit:))
