The way the light reflects off of this is reminiscent of one of those electron microscope photos of sand, or some other mineral. The lines in this image are fascinating.
It is also bigger that it looks in the photo. The longest ice crystal on the left of the biggest triangle is 2 feet long (.6 metre). In a large puddle beside a walking trail at Killarney Lake Park, Fredericton,NB.
It certainly looks lovely. I gazed at this for the longest time this morning while drinking coffee.
