Judging from the brushwork, pigeons?Any birds in the collaborative group?
You have a real eye for this!!Judging from the brushwork, pigeons?
Well, I meant from a colour perspective. Yes, the markings stunning.oooh, I wouldn’t call that plain. Amazing markings.
I did consider posting to the abstract thread but I have some ,perhaps unreasonable notion, that things I post to that thread should be something I created , not “just” a photo that I’ve taken. These are nice looking night related abstracts…..sort “Night Life” like. Ahem……
I have a similar issuenot “just” a photo that I’ve taken.
I have a similar issue
Editing a picture isn't enough, at least for me, to make a picture an abstract, there's something there about intentionality. So for example, the pic I posted above of the 3 flowers that sinnerjohn didn't see anything abstract about (arguably with some justification)... Well my intention was to try and abstract something geometric from what I could see. Whether I did that or not is beside the point. I submitted it on that basis so it fits the remit.Well don't all the images have a certain amount of manipulation? Post away!
Well thats my 'monolith' shot out for a start then!Editing a picture isn't enough, at least for me, to make a picture an abstract, there's something there about intentionality. A straight shot that looks abstract and been run through snapseed to pep it up doesn't fit the appstract remit to my mind.
Not at all. Pick your own criteria for inclusion, play with it, play is one of the best spaces for creative stuff.Well thats my 'monolith' shot out for a start then!
Besides, I think the thread is more than happy to receive your submissions.Well thats my 'monolith' shot out for a start then!
I just need to be careful I don't get too unrestrained with playing and miss the guidelines. I can be a bit to impulsive sometimes, which is why the 365 project is ideal, helps me develop a litle restraint. Not at all. Pick your own criteria for inclusion, play with it, play is one of the best spaces for creative stuff.
I'm an old hand here and already posted most of my back catalogue and done a lot of creative work over the years. I'm just not creating appstract stuff at the moment, it's mainly straight up photography which doesn't fit the appstract remit for me by my criteria. Bit sad I Can't join in but there you go.

Noted. And NONSENSE!!!!!!! Crop a millimeter off if it makes you feel better. Sheesh!I have a similar issue
Where do you find these things?
I admire your self imposed restraints. I have a few of my own. Just a few…..Not at all. Pick your own criteria for inclusion, play with it, play is one of the best spaces for creative stuff.
