I love a gargoyle. We have two. One sits in the peak of porch roof and the other watches over our narrow staircase.View attachment 197180
Garden gargoyle
(May look like Portrait mode, but it's not. Just a regular shot with a lot of distance between the gargoyle and the background.)
This one sits under a sort of gazebo, and we have another on the back steps, plus a troll. They liven things up a bit.I love a gargoyle. We have two. One sits in the peak of porch roof and the other watches over our narrow staircase.

View from the wharf: The fog was lying low on the water, and this pale rainbow was embedded in the fog, curving down to touch the water.

This was the last one on the tree. The apple, plum, and cherry trees in the yard put out very little fruit this year. Still waiting on the persimmon tree (but the feral turkeys usually get most of those). Kind of odd considering the wet winter we had, but the ways of fruit trees are inscrutable (likewise cats and squirrels).I thought it was a green grape. Most of the Granny Smiths around here were destroyed in a late frost.
Over here we had a crazy apple year. Some kind of record. And still they continue to import apples from South America. InsaneThis was the last one on the tree. Most of the harder apple crops were lost, maybe because they come on earlier? But the softer eating apples did well.Over here we had a crazy apple year. Some kind of record. And still they continue to import apples from South America. Insane
