I took a stab at something like Jerry's method, though with a bit different route through iColorama. I ended up with a black background, so I used ACDSee Pro to invert it. The righthand giraffe came out looking like a tall fox, but not too bad.
Time to vote for April Image of the Month (IotM). All MobiTog members are eligible to vote. Voting ends May 7.
Beautiful dreamy giraffes. I'm trying to see a "tall fox" to the right, but my brain is stuck with giraffeI took a stab at something like Jerry's method, though with a bit different route through iColorama. I just thought that in the last image, the giraffe head looked rather fox-like, with sharp ears and all.Beautiful dreamy giraffes. I'm trying to see a "tall fox" to the right, but my brain is stuck with giraffe
I’m sure I will dream about the fox-giraffe (Midnight over here)I just thought that in the last image, the giraffe head looked rather fox-like, with sharp ears and all.
Love these!!I was thinking about this. How do you go about getting a photo of the shadow, without the object, and without the shadow becoming distended, and without additional shadow of the photographer and/or camera?
So I thought, well, rather than photograph the shadow, why not create one? So I asked for a silhouette of two giraffes from MidJourney, but of course it wouldn’t do anything that simple.

Using iColorama, I used Threshold, Blur and Multi to get a shadow I liked.

And then I used it here in a surrealistic way.

Adjust>Channels>6 inverts right in iColorama!I took a stab at something like Jerry's method, though with a bit different route through iColorama. I ended up with a black background, so I used ACDSee Pro to invert it. The righthand giraffe came out looking like a tall fox, but not too bad.

I was sure it was there somewhere . That's the dilemma, isn't it? I'm sure it took me less time to switch apps and invert than to search through iColorama, but it also means the next time it comes up, I'll be in the same spot.Adjust>Channels>6 inverts right in iColorama!
Not sure if I like the shadows or the zepplin better. Very clever.I was thinking about this. How do you go about getting a photo of the shadow, without the object, and without the shadow becoming distended, and without additional shadow of the photographer and/or camera?

Now I’ll go into iColorama to try it out and be lost for two hours……Adjust>Channels>6 inverts right in iColorama!
The zeppelin was there already. I include an image every day with my Song of the Day posts on my blog, enthusiasm noted. That one was for Thomas Dolby’s “Budapest by Blimp”.Not sure if I like the shadows or the zepplin better. Very clever.
You won't be lost. Everyone knows where to find you.Now I’ll go into iColorama to try it out and be lost for two hours……
Pretty, dreamy…….
Very pretty! I’m in Redwood City right nowTwo enthusiastic bougainvilleas in downtown Santa Cruz. They're happy to climb on almost anything and get quite tall.

I lived in that area years ago, first in Belmont, then in Menlo Park, and last in Burlingame. For those of you who've never been there, this area sits between Silicon Valley and San Jose to the south and San Francisco to the north and is usually called The Peninsula. It's a series of little towns all sitting cheek by jowl so that you cross from one into another without realizing it: Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Redwood City, San Carlos, Belmont, San Mateo, Burlingame, Millbrae, San Bruno, South San Francisco, and San Francisco (I mean, The City )Very pretty! A bouquet thrown on the side of the road?
That’s kinda sad.
