Day 344 - December 10th - IKEA horror :D

Bought a chair from IKEA. I don’t think I’ve ever heard DH swear so much… At first he didn’t even succeed in opening the parcel. By the way the parcel had the form of a chair so we joked and said: If we not get in we’ll use it like this  It took a fair amount of time, but now it’s finally ready for use.

I adore the image of you and Hubby in the matching flannel!!!

Day 345 - December 11th - I’d rather be at Linus’ place today :)

The magic winter days we had are definitely over for now. Grey, rainy, icy and wet. And they haven’t spread any sand at all on our road. Yesterday parents had to pick up their kids at school because it was to icy for the school buses that for some reasons don’t have snow tires. DH and I just came home from a walk in the dull semi-darkness. During the walk I got a photo from Linus’ place. Their having a Christmas party.

We bought the flannels last weekend. The softest shirt I’ve ever had. And warm. Will do as a jacket when spring comes
I’m a huge flannel fan. I have several, or many more than several. One of my favorite things is to pile on a few different patterns and see if anyone says anything. Strange, they all have done the same thing. Must be an upstate NY thing.

Day 346 - December 12th - Red :inlove:

It’s amaryllis time - I think we have 8 this year

I love the shadows in no 2 and 3. I see a person in an office chair with a cat on her lap. The computer looks more like a mushroom. And NO, I have NOT taken any extra pain killers today - perhaps I should :D

Many years ago I worked in a classroom with 3 aides. We ALL gave each other an Amaryllis for Christmas. :lmao:

Day 347 - December 13 “Lucia” - Odd Swedish traditions :)

It was believed December 13th was the shortest day of the year. Lucia is coming with light, foreboding brighter days to come. Shot this at the shopping mall right now. Kind of weird. There they are singing old Christian hymns in the temple of the mongers :alien: I find it especially hilarious that the word “gadgets” got “attached” to one of the participants head:D

Edited with Snapseed here in the car. Must finish calendar project when we get home. It got messed up this morning but I have a plan. So no more Mobitog for now ;)

Particularly chilling if you've seen the horror film 'Midsommar'

Day 348 - December 14th - Got our daily exercise in the pedestrian shopping street  :D

It’s so icy out here that I didn’t dare to take my usual daily walk, not even with IceBugs on. So instead we went to Uppsala city and rushed up and down the pedestrian shopping street and we both acquired our daily goals on our Apple Watches  And as a bonus we‘ve now bought all our Christmas and birthday gifts for Linus:) The raccoon is not for Linus though. It’s for little Selma, the newest member of our clan.

Love the first image.

I think Santa is possibly giving me an Apple Watch for Christmas although I suspect that his little helper will have to buy it herself.

The landscape is a beauty. The red roof in the upper right keeps catching my eye.

We bought a third one today…. for Linus  Both my Mum and my stepmother are always so unsure of what to buy for him. Tons of phone calls about that. I now decided I didn’t want that this year. So today we bought the flannel, a pyjama, towels and bed sheets from them. Must remember to tell them:rolleyes::D

We’ve almost sold out - just the towels left :D

Coming home - Jupiter was waiting for us like the star over Bethlehem only that is in a planet in the south.

Day 351 - December 17th - The hour of the wolf

The Moon is 96% which counts as full according to the experts. Shot at 4 this morning from our porch. The blue light comes from our blue fairy light chains. Edits in Lightroom mobile. It’s a bit creepy that the iPhone cam captures stars that are not visible to the eyes
