Day 345 - December 11th - Sunday walk :)

I think it's about time I start creating the wall calendar for Linus. That's today's priority now that I'm done with my walk. So I challenge myself by posting completely unedited photos from my walk. A beautiful day :inlove:

PS I really should fix no 3. Perhaps I can't resist later today. If so I'll replace it here :D

I forgot about my calendar until last week. I do a 12x12 calendar through Walgreens a drug store chain. I got it done in 2 days, because they were having a 50% off sale. :lmao: I feel like the end of the year rather snuck up on me.

haha - me too. Now I’ve finished January and December - ”only” 10 months left and I’m getting tired.

Day 346 - December 12th - I was not alone on my walk :)

After having compared this footprint to many other photos of animal footprints in the snow, I really think a wolf had been taking a walk just before me. The traces were still fresh, otherwise they would have been less distinct as it’s windy and snowy today.
I really hope it will survive. People here are often wolf haters

What size wolves do you see there?

Your footprint is scarier than mine.

Northern wolves are big animals. Males: height up to 90 cm, weight 35-50 kg, length from nose to tail 105-160 cm

We almost killed them off during the 19th and 20th centuries. In the year 1900 just a max of 20 wolves in Sweden and Norway. Now I think a bit more than 400. Unforunately there are many wolf haters here. 50% percent of killed wolves die because of illegal shooting. And a lot of them get accidentally killed out on the roads of course.

Similar story in the US, but they are making a comeback. Yes, wolf haters, fox haters………

WOW. That is so cool. I’m sending protective energy to that wolf! I currently live in farm country and sometimes it’s a different way of being than I’m used to. :(

Day 348 - December 14th - I didn’t succeed with the chaffinch

We have a chaffinch here coming to the bird feeder. It’s extremely rare that they don’t go south before winter. Must be a very brave OR very stupid chaffinch. -13 here nov and it was down at 17 during the night.
I tried to get photos of the finch for more than 30 minutes but I had to give up. So instead I experimented with bluetits shot with max digital zoom. Edits in LRM and iColorama and Touch Retouch

Day 351 - December 17th - Pinkish tone

When I took a few shots a few minutes ago I thought the camera had messed up and I thought I’ll have to remove the ugly pink colour cast. But then I looked around with my own eyes and there was a real pinkish tone over the else graphic, almost BW, landscape. I guess the sun made this. It’s hidden deep under the clouds but is powerful enough to bring a tiny amount of light out.
Warmer here today. Just -8 and we’ll get snow showers this afternoon. For Tuesday they predict temperatures above zero and rain :(

It looks like some sort of kingly snow creature is sitting in the chair. Or should I go lay down for a while?

Gorgeous color… and the snow on the chair looks like an actual blanket! Cool.

Day 352 - December 18th - Not a photo day

Yesterday I took a lot of photos because it was such a beautiful crispy winter day. Today it’s wet and the snow is slowly melting and it’s much warmer. Very uninspiring day for photos.
