Mobi365 Ubbyisis’ Project 365 - 2022

Day 220 - August 8 - I wish I could read his mind better

Just look at this young man. We had just discovered he had lost his iPhone earlier today, probably in the taxi at his way home from work. Linus looked for the phone everywhere, but then he pulled out his razor and went into mindfulness mode. Didn’t seem to worry at all. Me on the contrary was going nuts.

Native cam Portrait mode. Background change and extra sharpening of the eyes in Picsart. And finally one of the portrait presets in Lightroom mobile

PS Don’t miss out to check up my playground thread! I got a wonderful spectacular surprise at midnight last night
I’m so happy: the taxi driver who took Linus home yesterday called and had found the phone in the backseat as he was cleaning up the car after the workday  :D

Day 221 - August 9th - Almost like constructing from scratch :D

We bought a new sand filter for the pool today as the old one had started to sound like a jet motor (well not really, but very irritating). When DH opened the box he looked down at at least 30 different pieces for him to assemble  I’m so glad this doesn’t fall under “my chores”. DH works hard putting the pieces together and I take care of the photo documentation. That’s fair, don’t you agree :lmao:

Playing around with apps to add to this injustice

Day 218 - August 6th - Moody Still Life :coffee:

This has been a boring day. Cold and windy. Real autumn vibes. I certainly would have needed Linus here to cheer me up.
No photos shot so I arranged this stilleben. Edited in Distressed FX +. The carcass in the vase is a sunflower that’s been broken by the wind. DH is hoping for the revival. The vase is a wedding gift - expensive Swedish glass from Kosta-Boda. The rose is made of fabric. I don’t know where it comes from. A magpie youngster was playing with it the other day and when I came out to take a closer look the magpie fled and left the rose. And then there’s our runestone miniature.

I love that the magpie brought you a rose.

Day 219 - August 7th - Sunflower Clearweather Revival :D:inlove:

I thought it was beyond saving, but when I got up this morning the sunflower had resurrected  It has some buds too. It will be a challenge to keep it alive in the vase until the flowers get open. Beautiful sunny day here, but not too hot. Just perfect

note about the title: Creedence was my first favourite foreign band when I was about 10 or 11. “Looking out my backdoor” and of course “In the Summertime” made me happy. My first vinyl was a CCR.

I can’t believe that sunflower perked up!!! Amazing. I felt sure it was dead.

Well, honestly: I’m sitting next to it right now… And it isn’t dead, but should need some intensive care now. The gardener has been sloppy I think

Day 222 - August 10th - Finally all the pieces are where they should be

As we thought it was a bit complicated, but DH finally fixed it. This new one is more silent than the old worn out. Great. The old one ruined all my video recordings :D

Day 223 - August 11th - Spontaneous trip to the coast

Quite hot here today. Got the perfect idea of escaping to the coast for a few hours. Lovely trip. So much to see that I more or less forgot to take photos

Day 224 - August 12th - Family dinner :D

It was not planned for Linus to visit us this weekend. But then they got short on staff (once again :() at his place so it would have been a boring time for him.
We had crayfish for dinner. Swedish tradition to eat them in August. It was Linus idea.

Day 226 - August 14th - Beauty fix before he returned back home

Another perfect summer day together with Linus. Native cam and edits on the phone with PicTapGo. I didn’t see what I was doing really because of the bright sunshine

Day 227 - August 15th - Which one is ours :alien::lmao:

We don’t have one of the typical Volvos or Saabs. Our car is a Dacia. We don’t see them very often here. This is the first time ever we parked next to an identical twin :)

Played around with different apps. Needed some fun as life is boring now that Linus went back home. It’s hot and thunder storms are on their way. Replaced the sky with Infinite Skies. It didn’t do a perfect job though, but I don’t have the energy for trying again

Day 228 - August 16th - Today’s views

The combination of heatwave and no Linus here is damaging my inspiration and creativity. Another hot day without a single drop of rain although the last two days there have been heavy thunderstorms in many parts of Sweden. We escaped to the coast once again. Back home now and when I lift my eyes from the display I can see the sky is turning grey with huge clouds.

First image a beautiful misty picture.

First image a beautiful misty picture.
It’s been like that early in the morning for some days now. Magic. This morning I went back to bed. When I got up again an hour later everything was ”normal”. No sign of the mist. Like a dream. Good to have photos as a proof :)

Day 229 - August 17th - Can you spot it

Or is it just me who can see the pink elephant here

Shot a few minutes before tonight’s sunset. Emphasised the pink a bit in Lightroom mobile

P.S. We finally got some rain - for FIVE minutes…. Two thunders and a brief rainshower. Then the sun came back and we wondered if the rain was just a hallucination. But the drops on the flowers show that we really had got some rain. 1 (ONE!) mm the rain gauge says. The weather gods must be joking

Day 231 - August 19th - Finally Family Friday :inlove:

Lots of f-words there :lmao: Linus just arrived. He’s a bit tired, both because of the heat and because of having worked all day. So he has chosen just to relax listening to his favourite music.

Native cam, portrait mode. Slightly adjusted with Lensa app

Day 233 - August 21st - Happy bumblebee

Now it’s season for the asters. We have them everywhere in our garden in many different colours. The classical summer flowers are almost gone now. The asters and the phlox are perfect for the “after-seoson”

EDIT: One more in the more conventional perspective. The URL in the down right corner points to my profile at Vero. Joined the platform yesterday after tips from some Insta friends who just like I guess most of us, are sick and tired of Instagram’s meltdown into a horrible mix where marketing, influencers and silly reels are so dominant that the posts we really want to see get drowned in the lava stream
