The Caterpillar stage is adorable!!!Day 173 - June 22nd - Fluffy
This puss moth (cerura vinula) was resting outside our house for several hours today. After sunset it left, or perhaps someone found a delicious dinner. Beautiful moth - pretty big. It’s the one that looks so cool when it’s in caterpillar stage. See Wikipedia link below

It looks like someone crossed a bee with a butterfly. And gave it a fur cape. I don't think I've ever seen anything similar here.Day 176 - June 25th - Honeysuckle lunch
These beautiful moths usually show up in the evenings, but this one must be extra hungry for honeysuckle nectar. Shot at 13:30 today. Native cam. Edits in Lightroom

I didn’t know its’ name but after some ”research” I think it’s a ”brunsprötad skymningssvärmare” / hyles galii / bedstraw hawk-mothIt looks like someone crossed a bee with a butterfly. And gave it a fur cape. I don't think I've ever seen anything similar here.
I first saw one of those in Winter Park, CO in 2012. Startled the heck out of me when it flew by my ear - thought it was a hummingbird or a very late bee. So I found it and took a picture, and someone on FB identified it for me.I didn’t know its’ name but after some ”research” I think it’s a ”brunsprötad skymningssvärmare” / hyles galii / bedstraw hawk-moth
In the Swedish Wiki post I read that it’s most active at dusk, but on very hot days it also appear in the middle of the day. So I’m pretty sure I found the right moth.

They seem to hide, don‘t they?Day 181 - June 30th - Blue bells
Just came back from my walk. Nasty weather coming in from the southwest so I’d better post something now, before I go ”unplugged”. Let’s hope for just well-needed rain without thunder. But I think that’s too much to ask for.
Bluebells at the roadside. I just looked this up and it seems it isn’t bluebell in English? I found the name peach-leaved bellflower in Wikipedia. Edits in LR and Snapseed
