Day 326 - November 22th - Magnificent birthday gift

Today is the day when DH becomes an old man of 70 :inlove: And like a gift from the sky a fantastic Aurora Borealis (northern light) broke through just after midnight last night :). I don't think we've ever seen such a powerful aurora. Magic can happen obviously

Shot with iPhone 15 Pro Max. No edits. Shot a lot.... Can't choose one of them

almost scary- looks a bit like ghosts

extra: stars. As always the camera captured a lot more sky objects than what we could see with our unaided eyes

Was in our UK newspaper today. Definitely magical.

Both lovely, but the first is extra special. We’re in the middle of a heat wave here. The forecast of several days @39C has been modified because of a wind change. so we’ve had one 39 day and a couple 38. Not that anyone’s counting. we usually get a couple of random 40-41s over the Christmas period. Makes it hard to socialise :feet:

I have rarely seen temps that high. Upper 80s and lower 90’s are about as high as we go. Hope I haven’t jinxed myself….

Day 330 - November 26th - Dusk

”Very busy” today ;) Slept longer than usual. When I came home from today's long walk it was already dusk. Just a quick change of clothes and then a walk to our nicest neighbours who had invited us for coffee. Back home now and not so much left of today. It's a hard life being retired ;)

Shot outside our house at 14:50. Edits in Lightroom Mobile and iColorama

I think our ”all-time-high” was 34/93 the hot summer of 2018

And you guys have snow-covered winters . . . It’s weird to imagine such extremes in countries that have white Christmases. Our own winters [roughly] average between 8-18C. And we complain very loudly at the colder end.

When I was a kid in the 60s it was a very cold period and we had a lot of snow the whole winter. But in the last two decades it has changed and the ”real” snow often doesn’t come until in February. So this year is kind of exceptional. Right now it’s perfect I think. Cold enough to keep the snow from melting which means the roads are not icy. I get the perfect grip with my Icebugs! But not too cold. With good clothes it feels just nice outside.

Day 331 - November 27th - Full Moon

It was already dark when I took the photo so I expected a crappy image. But no - I was wrong. Shot with native camera, max zoom and lowered exposure all the way down to -2.

The sky was full of noise but I managed to reduce it in Lightroom Mobile :)

You just need a silhouette of a witch flying by the moon on her broom for the perfect halloween image!

Day 332 - November 28th - Winter cap

Just came back after a walk in the blizzard. Two hours on unplowed road. I love the creaking sound of boots on snow.
